Hi all, my name is Ann, I am a biologist, PhD, who has been studying the plant kingdom for many years and sharing my knowledge with students and readers. On my blog you will learn many interesting things about flora.

Flora – historically developed in a certain geographical space (Earth, continents, territories of individual states and their parts) or the totality of plant species that have grown in past geological eras.

Globally, there are six floristic kingdoms: Holarctic kingdom, which occupies almost the entire Northern Hemisphere; Palaeotropic kingdom, spread over most of Africa, South and Southeast Asia; Neotropic kingdom, characteristic of Latin America; Capa kingdom in South Africa; Australian kingdom.

Vegetation or vegetation cover is a set of phytocenoses of plant communities inhabiting the planet and its individual regions. A plant association is a unit of vegetation classification. Ecological, floristic, phytocenological, and genetic principles are used to classify vegetation.
